Wine tours

Bisceglia brand is an important and dynamic winery offering a rage of top quality products.
The Winery is founded 2001 by Mario Bisceglia. The goal is to produce world class wines made with both indigenous and international varietals grown in Southern Italy.

The winery has a state-of-the-art wine making facility and ageing cellar which have been designed by architects Hikaru Mori and Domenico Santomauro. In the cellar the winemarling the space environment permeated with the culture of wine and Mediterranean life.

In front of the Winery there is a very important archaeological site (IV – VII sec. AD) showing the famous pithoi, containers used during fermentation of high quality wine. Volcanic origin makes the difference for obtaining the best quality of Aglianico del Vulture DOC.

Routes

Vulture is one of the most fashionable area in Southern Italy. A land to be discovered, corner by corner, where food and fine wine pair perfectly with a landscape of rare beauty including Monticchio Lakes, the Frederick II’s castles in Lagopesole and Melfi, the village of Venosa, birthplace of the Latin poet Horace, or the town of Matera, “Stone City” and Unesco World Heritage Site.

Take the exit “Venosa Est” on the right and follow the directions to Lavello. After 800 meters, turn right: you will pass under a bridge. After other 800 meters, turn right again.
